Madeline Merlo

There really isn’t much Madeline Merlo can’t do. As filming recently wrapped on ‘Country Crush,’ her on-screen musical debut, Madeline is ready to release Decades, a special Throwback Thursday video cover series on, and Honey Jack”, her brand new sultry single on July 17

Written and recorded on a warm Nashville night, “Honey Jack” demonstrates a new sound and mature vocal performance from this rising country star. Perfect to accompany those hot summer days, stiff patio drinks and questionable romantic decisions.

The new single caps a whirlwind year for Merlo. Since the release of her self-titled debut EP last summer, Madeline has entertained the Canadian troops overseas, shared her success story in Sparkle: An Inspirational Handbook for Young Girls, was picked as one of four lucky female artists selected to open for Country music superstars Dean Brody and Paul Brant during their Road Trip Tour this fall, and starred in the upcoming musical film, Country Crush, due out in early 2016.

Acting alongside Jana Kramer and Sophie Tweed-Simmons, Madeline plays Nancy Taylor, an aspiring country singer who faces several challenges on her road to fame. What drew her to the screen? “I related to Nancy from the moment I read the script the first time,” she explains, “which was why it made it an easy decision to take on a project so foreign to me. I can relate to her intense passion, and her hard work and determination to do her best.”

Speaking of best, in Decades Madeline has covered hits by some of her favourite artists from the 1940’s on–including Shania Twain, Patsy Cline, and Dolly Parton.
