May Wells

May Wells has been working in music for nearly six years. With her band The Garlics, she released three albums and seven radio singles—one of which made it to the airwaves of Virgin Radio in France— and opened for bands like Simple Plan.

As a solo artist, she released her first EP of four songs in 2016. Her first single “We All Want Love” quickly opened the doors to English Canada. Named Bell Media’s “Future Star” in March 2017, her song quickly became a radio hit, propelling her to Top 25 on the Billboard BDS Main AC chart. To date, the song has nearly 500,000 streams online. With her following single “One Night”, the Canadian singer/songwriter saw her talent highlighted in the POP SONG OF THE YEAR category alongside five other very talented artists at the latest Independent Music Awards in New York (2018). Not surprising, because the song has remained 5 consecutive weeks in the TOP 100 Correspondents ADISQ and has so far more than 110 000 plays online.

Her two most recent releases “What’s Up BIG BOY?” (also broadcast in the current season of the popular TV show “Occupation Double”) and “One and The Same” already boast over 225,000 plays on Spotify in just a few months.  May also embraced the holiday season in 2018 with her original Christmas song “Home for Christmas” which reached Top 20 on the Holiday radio chart! Currently in the writing process, May is actively working on a new EP to be released in fall 2019.
